Hundreds of people hit the streets in Kaziranga in protest against the unabeted rhino poaching in the national park. The protesters further snubbed the government for failing to stop the rampant poaching of the one horn animals in the state.AASU adviser Dr Samujja Bhattacharya who joined the protest demanded army deployment to stop poaching in the world heritage site. Poachers killed at least three rhinos in the last ten days amid the rush of tourists from the country and abroad.
Poachers have killed yet another rhino in Kaziranga on Sunday. The third one rhino poaching during the last ten days took place in Dhing where horn less carcass was spotted in the morning. Stung by the widespread protest and criticism, the forest department now talks of a a comprehensive plan to curb the menace of rhino poaching.
