North east is a storehouse of youth talents. From painting to sand art, from dance to drama not even a single front of creativity is left untouched if one gets a glimpse of a carnival in Guwahati.
Organized by Metropolish, the three days event begins today at the Shradhanjali Kanon in the heart of the city which is set to pull huge crowd. All activists of the non governmental organization are busy in the last minute preparations to make the event a grand success.
Apart from holding a number of contest and competitions, the youths are exhibiting their creativity from Friday evening. nother focus of the festival is expected to be a Siberian delegation who has already landed in the premier north eastern city.
“We are leaving no stone unturned to make it a success. Let our youths showcase their talents,” said Rajib Phukan who is one of the Metropolish officials busy in organizing the event.
He said, “ the Siberian delegation would demonstrate toy making technique to our youths. Apart from this, the foreign delegation would set up a food stall to demonstrate Siberian cuisine.”
Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju and chief minister Tarun Gogoi would attend the closing ceremony on Sunday.
