Chief minister Tarun Gogoi said that BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi have received support from the corporate houses. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Friday, Gogoi said that he has not seen corporate houses rolling out red carpet for a political party. He further called Modi god of destruction and not god of construction. He said that he has noticed striking similarity between Modi magic and Ajmal's politics of water bottle.

The National Film Archives of India (NFAI) has digitally restored an Assamese film made in 1952, whose only print was missing for over 40 years till it was recovered in a village in Assam in March 2010.The film, “Runumi”, written and directed by noted writer-Sattriya dance exponent, the late Suresh Chandra Goswami, has undergone digital audio and video restoration after a painstaking process of manual cleaning at the Restoration Laboratory.
