Election office torched

Unidentified miscreants torched the election office of the BPF candidate Chandan Brahma late last night at Gargaon under Bijni LAC in Chirang of No. 5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Constituency.

BPF accused of that BPPF and supporters of the Independent candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma were involved with the incident of Gargaon late last night. The party said that fearing the defeat of UG Brahma miscreants torched the election and damages f the office related materials of the BPF party late last night.

BPF leader and Bijni MLA Kamalsing Narzray strongly condemned the incident and demanded early identification f the culprits and punish as per law. Narzary has appealed all sections of community to maintain peace and harmony among society. BPF party lodged a complaint with Bijni police in connection with incident.

Meanwhile, the BPPF denied the allegation leveled against them with the Gargaon incident said that BPPF party and its allied organizations were not involved in the incident.

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. The United People’s Party(UPP) candidate  for Kokrajhar east Pratibha Brahma filed nomination papers to the Returing Officer at DC office in Kokrajhar on Monday. NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

BPF leaves three more seats to BJP

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
