MARGHERITA: Suspected ULFA-I rebels are believed to have been holding a heavy gunbattle with security forces a day after they kidnapped a local BJP leader's son on Friday.
Local residents told Assam Timed that they came to hear the sounds of firing from a sense forest area along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
PArmy police and para military forces have recovered the car in which Arunav Phukan, the son of Dilip Phukan was on his way to their stone query on Friday.
