Two more candidates-Haricharan Basumatary and Dilip Kumar Sarania filed nomination papers as Independent before the Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar for the No.5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Constituency on the last day of the nomination fielding on Saturday.
There 9 candidates are in fray to contest the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Constituency slated to be held on April 24,includes Chandan Brahma(BPF),Ranjit Sekhar Mooshahary(TMC),Salkan Murmu(JDP),Urakhao Gwra Brahma(Independent),Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary(Ind),SabdhaRam rabha(Ind), Hira Sarania(Ind), Haricharan Basumatary(Ind) and Dilip Kumar Sarania(Ind).
The scrutinized of the nomination papers would be held on April 7 and last day of the withdrawal is April 9.

Mentioned be made that in the last parliamentary election held in 2009, Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary on BPF ticket secured 495211 votes defeating Urkhao Gwra Brahma at huge margin of 190322. Brahma secured 304889 votes while Sabdharam Rabha secured 214684 votes.
