Lightning kills 3 in Chirang

At least three persons died and several others received injuries due to the lightning struck at Anthaibari under Bengtol police outpost in Chirang district on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the source, three persons have died and several other people from Anthaibari area received serious injuries due to heavy lightning this afternoon while people were watching a football match at Anthaibari playground.

The injured persons were immediately rushed to the Bengtol missionary hospital where three persons were declared brought dead.

The deceased were identified as Dilip Mushahary (40), Rayanti Basumatary (40) and Mangkeswar Basumatary (45).
