Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi said that BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi have received support from the corporate houses.             Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Friday, Gogoi said that he has not seen corporate houses rolling out red carpet for a political party.               He further called Modi god of destruction and not god of construction.     He said that he has noticed striking similarity between Modi magic and Ajmal's politics of water bottle.
