One Ss pvt Gideon Daime (18) Army No 42301/10(IM) S/O Lt Namra Daime of Village Longmang apprehended by 9 Madras Mahur camp and Mahur police on November 13. Recovered- 4x AK Rds. Daime joined NSCN (IM) in March 2010, trained in Tamei camp, Tamenglong. Operated in entire Zeliangrong region since then, it is learnt.

DHD(J) calls for Dima Hasao Bandh on Jan 3

The Dima Halam Daogah (Joel) calls for 24 hours Dima Hasao bandh starting from 5 AM, January 3 in protest against the non-release of its leaders and members. The People belonging to Zeme of N. C. Hills celebrate their year ending festival or the major festival ‘Hega- Ngi’ throughout the district N. C. Hills starting from December 19th to December 21st 2009 with traditional fervor and gaiety. State employees warn stronger agitation at Haflong

Hundreds of state employees, working in different departments under the administrative control of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council took out procession with the demand of immediate release of their salaries on Tuesday at Haflong.
