All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided the Lamyanba Complex at Kunung Mamang in Imphal East. A team of CRPF and state police led by the agency raided the complex at around 11 AM where the offices of the Ireibak daily, Lamyanba Communications, Lamyanba Printers and a Polo Club are located. A man has been arrested by police for allegedly attempting to rape a minor girl in Sugnu, Thoubal district on April 25. The incident happened On apri 24 night at Sugnu Awang Leikai when 61-year-old Thokchom Menjor molested a nine-year-old girl of the same locality and tried to rape her inside his house. An irate mob beaten him up and dismantled the house. Later, he was arrested by Thoubal police and remanded to police custody for five days, they said.
