All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. A stunned Cachar district administration discussed the situation prevailing in the Bhuvan Valley Tea Garden after reports of starvation deaths.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked additional Chief Secretary P K Choudhury to to conduct an inquiry into the alleged starvation deaths. Security forces in Dibrugarh district seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition were on Saturday.
