Appeal to contribute for Assam Flood 2012 fund

Keeping in view of the current flood situation in Assam where many have lost their lives and have been rendered homeless, a meeting was held at the initiative of The Assam Association, Mumbai on 8th July 2012.

The meeting which was attended by the executive committee of the Assam Association,Mumbai and Shri Devashish Sharmah Dy.Resident Commissioner of Assam Bhawan Mumbai along with other members. The meeting took unanimous decision to form a FLOOD RELIEF COMMITTEE under the chairmanship of Padmashree Jahnu Baruah in order to extend heartfelt support and solidarity towards the prevailing situation in Assam and extend all possible help to the flood affected people.


The contribution for flood relief cheque may please be deposited in favour of “The Assam Association Mumbai” either:

(1) In the A/C no. 310970533380 of SBI, Kharghar Branch Or

(2) Drop your Cheque at the drop box, placed at Assam Bhawan Or

(3) Handover to any one of the members of the executive committee. Or

(4). Online transfer to account no 310970533380, State Bank Of India,Kharghar Branch.

In all the cases kindly send a SMS, explaining details of your contributions to the Treasurer Shri Mridul Saikia, Mob. No.9969228434 or send an e-mail to assam_association@yahoo.com so that, in turn he may issue the receipt to the individual and publish the list of the contributors in www.assamassociationmumbai.org.
