Health checkup camp at Nagaon

A Free health Check up camp for the Police Personnel was organized under the agesis of Lions & Lioness Club, Nagaon Greater jointly with Health Deptt, Nagaon at Nagaon Police Reserve from 10 AM to 4 PM. Inaugurating the Camp, Chief Guest, Dr P Ashok Babu, Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon observed that police personnel work tirelessly for extended hours of duty which affects their health and as such they should always opt for such preventive check-ups. Dr.D.K.Buragohain, Jt Director of Health Services, Nagaon dwelled upon the fundamentals of good health. Sunil Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nagaon presided the meeting and lauded the efforts of Nagaon Greater Lions & Lionesses. Earlier, a felicitation ceremony was conducted by DSP Ms Rosy Rani Sarma in which Fulam Gamochha were offered to dignitaries.


A Team of doctors led by Dr Iva Bhuyan, Dr P.R.Phukan, Dr Tapan Sharma and paramedics conducted the camp. Altogether 309 police personnel and their family members were screened for ailments including Hypertension and diabetes. Free medicines were given to the patients. Addl Supdt of Police S.Mili, Lion Members B.K.Manglunia, Pradip Lohia, Lalit Kothari, Anil Sharma ,Sunil Goenka and Lioness Renu Baruah,Kusum Devi, Lily Laskar, Jyotshana Goswami, Dolly Borah played important role in the success of the Camp. A host of police personnel including ASP Hitesh Roy, ASP B.Barman were also present. At the end ASP S.Mili offered vote of thanks.
