Ramendra Sutradhar: a tribute

A most popular figure of Udalguri,Ramendra Sutradhar is no more. His tragic end came in the morning of 27th May, Sunday. While he was performing morning walk a speedy bike hit him hard and he was lost. Born on April 13,1951,he did his primary schooling at Udalguri near Angragaon. He passed his matriculation from Barpeta H.S School and B.Sc from Darrang College. He was associated with several Social and cultural organisations including Asom Sahitya Sabha Udalguri Unit, Udalguri Bihu committee, Bishnu Rava Kristi Sangha, Sankardev Shishu Niketon etc. Due to early death of his father Shashi Sutradhar he had to look after their family business. Ramen Sutradhar was very popular in his friend circle and almost in Udalguri due to his amicable behaviour. He leaves behind his wife, One son and two daughters. It was a great shock for all of us. Though he is no more, his good deeds and responsibility shown towards all respect of life and society will be always remembered. Today on the day of his “Adyshradha” we pray God to grant eternal peace to his departed soul.
