DHD reiterates Dimaraji demand

The Peoples Supreme Council of Dimaraji (PSCD) and Dima Halam Daogah(DHD) appeals the authorities of NHAI, NF Railway, ONGC and NEEPCO to stop all activities for 36 Hrs. from 5 AM of 8th May to 5 PM of 9th May 2012, disclosed one Mondol Chandra Langthasa,Chief of the PRO,PSCD/DHD.

The appeal stated that it was for a kind information to the people of Dimaraji in particular and the people of the country that the Peoples Supreme Council of Dimaraji (PSCD)and Dima Halam Daogah(DHD) came into Ceasefire with the Centre and started Peace process on honouring peoples opinion and now it was up to the Governments to settle the Dimaland (Dimaraji ) issue and other Socio-economic problems of the region in a time-bound manner which was acceptable by the Dimasas and the people of Dimaland.

Since the initiation of Tripartite-Talks among DHD, Centre and the State Government, the Government have always adopted a dilly-dallying tactics which was never acceptable by the various Dimasa movement Organisations and the people of Dimaland. In a long nine years peace process the Govts have never shown their sincerity on the core issues of Dimasas and the demands of the people of Dimaland. They were being pressurised by the people to come out from the Designated camp and rethink on to pull out of the Tripartite Talk. They may be compelled to think about rejecting the proposals offered by the Governments unless they ensure us an “agreed formula”.

The DHD and the people of Dimaland were well aware that how many times the Governments have step back form their policy of settlement of the core issues and buying times so that they can hoodwink the DHD as they have done already to the other Armed organisations of the Hills which have already signed the Accord.

So, the PSCD/ DHD was compelled to agitate in a democratic way honouring Peoples opinion for the justice and our legitimate right.

Initially PSCD/DHD would move against all the National Projects going on in the Dimaland territory to stop all construction and other administrative activities like East-West Corridor starting from Silchar to Sourastra via Lumding -Maibang and Jatinga , Broad Gauge Conversion of North -East Railway from Lumding to Agartala via Badarpur and Silchar which run through Dimaland Territory, all activities of ONGC and NEEPCO etc. in our region, the appeal added.
