Congress leader Pankaj Bora has been elected to the Rajya Sabha Uncontested. The official announcement was made on Thursday when the date for withdawal of nomination was over. Apart from the forme minister Bora, Congress activist Jesim Raja filed nomintion papers but it was rejected citing technical reasons. This has paved the way for Bora to get elected to the Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha bye election was required in the state following the death of Silvius Condopan.
