Hours after SEBA announced the results of the HSLC examination on Wednesday, education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed to have minimised anomalies and mistakes
Addressing a press conference in Dispur, Dr Sarma said that the SEBA has already sent marksheets to the candidates along with the certificates for the successful candidates.
He further said that fro 2016, the HSLC candidates would have 700 marks instead of the current 600 marks.
According to him, from now onwards the Class IX candidates will have a combined paper of Assam history and geography.

The second position goes to Jyoti Krishna Kumar Kalita from Maloubari HS School in Sonapur in the outskirt of Guwahati.
Smitaxi Goswami from Salt Brooke Academy in Dibrugarh shares third position with Anajit Roy of Korrajhar Babylang School and Sannidhya Sarma of BVCL, Namrup.

Altogether 39006 candidates secured frst division. Altogether 82793 candidates were placed in second dvision while 104886 have been placed in the third division.

A hardcore rhino poacher was killed and four others managed to escape during an encounter with forest guards in Kaziranga on Tuesday.
The encounter took place in the evening at Kanchanjuri area in Bagori sector of the national park.
