UPLF boss held in Karbi Anglong

In a major setback for UPLF, police have arrested the insurgent outfit’s comander-in chief in Karbi Anglong on Wednesday.

Identified as Menam Phanglo, the dreaded boss of the United Peoples’ Liberation Front was arrested during an operation in the Khotkhoti area of the hills district in the wee hours.

He was brought for Khotkhoti police station where interrogation is underway.

Notably, the outfit has been unleashing a reign of terror in the entire district in the form of murder, kidapping and extortion.
