In synchronization with the World Consumer Rights Day, Jan Shikshan Sansthan Nagaon and Gram Vikas Parishad, Rangaloo jointly organized a day long programme at Rangaloo with a view to generate awareness among the consumers about their rights and their protection. The meeting was presided by Abdul Mannaf, President of GVP where more then 200 people were present. Mamtaz Khanom, Director i/c of Jan Shikhsan Santhan spoke about the objectives of the meeting.
Distinguished guest Renuka Ranjan Kakoti, former senior member of Dist consumer forum delivered his speech over Consumer Rights & Protection. In his speech Katoki appealed the people to be aware about their rights and never let the retailer, shopkeeper to cheat. Tapan Dutta & Mohhamad Ali, Inspector of Dist. Food & Civil supplies were also among the invitees who delivered their precious suggestion on consumer rights and protection acts. All of the a guest speakers made an appeal to the people present in the meeting to carry the message of awareness to other peoples. On this occasion few IEC materials are distributed amongst the participants and a demonstration session on fake consumers goods are also presented before the gathering.
