Two MTFA ultra held in Kokrajhar

Security forces on Saturday had apprehended two militants belonging to Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA) in Assam's Kokrajhar district, officials said.

Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that, based on intelligence input, army and police had jointly launched operation at Chokhilepara area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militant duo.

The nabbed militants were identified as Nur Islam and Md. Asarful Islam and recovered two 7.62mm pistols, 17 rounds live ammunition of AK-47, a MTFA identity card and other war like stores in possession from them.
