CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue.
The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

A three-day camp on free and open source software called “FOSSilize” is going to be held at IIT Guwahati campus on September 3-5. Union environment minister Jairam Ramesh says his government would not allow any big dam to be constructed in the north eastern region. His assurance came up when Assam's RTI activist Akhil Gogoi called on him on Tuesday. Notably, this was what he meant to informed the elders on Monday. Gogoi met Jairam and sought his intervention in the on going big dam construction works in Arunachal bordering Dhemaji district of Assam.
