Dima Haso scam likely to rock Parliament

CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue. The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

Tamil Nadu rescued eight child labourers from Assam from a textile mill on Sunday. According to information, acting on a tip off, a team of revenue officials on Saturday visited the mill in Suburban Asokapuram area and rescued the labourers -- all aged between 17 and 21. The rescued labourers told the officials that the owner had promised to pay them Rs 100 as daily wage besides free food when they joined the mill three months ago. A father and son duo were killed in a clash arising out of land dispute in Lakhimpur district on Sunday. Tension grips in Sonari a day after some armed miscreants atacked a police barrack built up in in Charaipung bordering Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.
