Pathetic condition of Saru Pathar- Jamunamukh Road
The people of Jamunmukh town are having harrowing time while traveling by road from Nagaon-Hojai belt as the main connecting road from Saru Pathar to Jamunamukh is having big holes, where not only four-wheelers but two-wheeler drivers too are having stressful drive a s there is no alternative to reach there. The road turns into mud-filled in rainy season, but now-a-days dust is also contributing largely due to negligence by PWD.
The Jamunamukh legislative assembly constituency is presently represented by AUDF MLA Sirajuddin Azmal, but the proximity with veteran leader also not bringing any fruitful result for local residents and their woes might continue beyond forth-coming assembly election too where once again voters will be given promises instead of concrete road.

The theatre regime continues to enthrall Nagaon crowd with variety plays each comprising diffferent aspect of life in it. The latest to join the band-wagon here are 'Rajshree Theatre' which is going to host 3 days show from March 25 at local Nehru Bali field. The play to be enacted includes Champak Sarmah's 'Bali', Jiten Sarmah's 'Saraighat' and Hemant Dutt's 'Sapanur Phool'. The music will be composed by Vijaylaxmi-Hemant Thakuria duo.
The mobile theatre troupes are now only entertaining urban crowds but they are immense popular in remote sub-urban towns, taluka etc. As they are not having opportunity to enjoy each prominent troupe like district head-quarters, their enthusiasm as well as love towards up-coming theatre troupe can only be felt in shows being organised in remote location of Assam. To justify the need to reach up-to last miles, the Dimaruguri area on the outskirt of Nagaon town is going to witness "Bhagyadevi Theatre" for 3 days beginning on 17 March'10. Abhinav group presented surrounding theatre lovers are going to enjoy three different play each evening with actor Rajkumar as lead cast.
The vehicular traffic is so much here in Nagaon that connecting with Haibargaon area with main commercial parts of Nagaon is always seems to be time consuming affair besides cost as an other factor. To reduce the efforts as well as time to connect South Haibargaon at Bhuyanpatty to Nagaon near GNB Road, Fauzadaripatty, one concrete bridge is constructed some time ago, but the approach road is not made ready on either side.
