Its time north-east tribes do some self-introspection. Instead of wasting our energy in destructive fights, why can't the boys do some harwork with sincerity? Nowadays some Bodo civil society organizations like the All Bodo Students Union use the word nation for Bodo tribe. But Bodos are a tribe. They are not yet a nation. A nation is formed by two or more tribes, not one tribe. A nation is a unified identity of more than one race and tribes. The student leaders are caught in a chauvinist frenzy and so they don’t distinguish between a tribe and a nation. We the Bodos as a people have yet to mature to form a nation with surrounding tribes and other racial communities.
