International Recognition to Assam Boy


Mrinmoy Kumar Sarmah , a class ten standard student of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Silpukhuri, Guwahati, Assam has successfully participated in, 2010 “ International Conference of Children and Youth, Brazil 2010”. In this connection hr lead the country and performed several activities from June 5-10 in Brazil. Previously he submitted on write-up within 250 words with a focal theme “Socio-Environmental Global Change” and on the basis of merit of his write-up, along with 7 others selected out of 90 lakhs write-ups from all over India. They have prepared the Indian Children Charter of Responsibilities on environment where they mentioned how to save mother earth. In the international conference 53 countries from all over the world have participated where more than 500 students took part and prepared the “World Children Charter of Responsibilities” and which was finally handed over to the President of Brazil. The main aim and objective of this World Charter is to take care of the planet and keep it clean and green


It may be mention that, being the member of Eco-Club of his School, he prepared a project on “Manufacturing of Low-Cost Candles from Readily Available Nahar Seeds” along with his Co-Worker Mr. Amritjyoti Das and because of this project the school authority selected him for this conference.
