Last respect for 6 Assam brave heart

Assam on Thursday paid its last respect to the body of six brave hearts two days after they lost their lives at the hands of Naxals in Chhattisgarh. Led by Assam director general of police Shankar Baruah, top ranked police and civil officials gathered at the Lok Priya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Borjhar and paid their last respect to the bodies after these were flown to the home state.

It is very sad news that 6 assam soldiers have lost their lifes fighting for the nation leaving their families nowhere . It seems that after the Dantewada incident central Govt, has deployed strengths in Naxal areas mobilising troops maximum from North East States. It is feared that more casualties to our men may result in near future.

It is really a sad news relating to the demise of assam soldiers who lost their precious lives fighting for the nation. The soldiers are the real patriots who lead a sacrificed life. We the citizens should really bow down before such warriors who die for the motherland for the cost of the country

Gogoi claims all round development

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said Assam has developed on all fronts. In his address at the anniversary function at Sarusajai function on Saturday, Gogoi said that the state now ranks in third position in the human resources development index. Youth Shot Dead at Dhupdhara

A 27 years old youth was found dead at Landakhunda village, bordering Assam-Meghalaya, under Dhupdhara police station in Goalpara district early in the morning today. The youth was shot dead by unidentified gunmen as two marks of bullet holes on his chest. The body was found lying on a village road with both of his hands were tightened with his own shirt. Top Maoist leader in NIA remand

National Investigation Agency got remand of Maoist leader Indranil Chandra, alias Ajay Das for seven days after he was produced before a special court in Guwahati on Wednesday. Chandra, who heads Maoist offensive in Assam, was brought to Guwahati from Kolkata where he was recently arrested. He was produced in a NIA designated court in Guwahati and remanded to seven days of NIA custody.
