Sources told Assam Times that Gogoi met the home minister at 3 in the afternoon who assured him of all help required to ensure talk with ULFA. Gogoi formally urged Chidambaram to appoint former IB director PC Halder as the government interlocutor in the talk with ULFA. Halder has been interlocuting in the centre's talk with NSCN-IM.
