Centre-NDFB talk in progress in Delhi
For the first time since they announced ceasefire with the government, the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) is holding a crucial round of talks with the Centre in Delhi on Wednesday.
The Centre is represented by Union home secretary G K Pillai while ten members of the Bodo rebel outfit is attending the talk led by General secretary Gobinda Basumatary and publicity secretary S Sanjaang. Top level sources say the revel outfit fighting for a seperate Bodoland is discussing the ten pont charter od their demanded sent to the Centre on May this year.

Amidst the report of a simmering tension at the Raj Bhawan following

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said he was not aware of any development in
this regard.

Assam Governor Shiv Charan Mathur on Thursday following heart ailment at a hospital in New Delhi. He was 83. The end came at around 8 in the evening at thr Fortis Hospital in the national capital. According to information, the governor complained of respiratory trouble in the evening and was shifted to the Fortis Hospital s few hours after he was released from the Escorts Hospital following his recovery. The Central Bureau of Investigation says National Democratic Front of Boroland chairman Ranjan Daimary is the prime accused in the October 30 Assam serial blasts case. According to CBI sources, Daimary hatched the plan for the explosions three months earlier. The revelations have come up three days after the invesigating agency chrgesheeted Daimary along with 18 others in the gory serial blast case.According to CBI, after the planning in July NDFB cadres were detailed by Daimary to procure three used cars for the explosions in Guwahati and the details were worked out on October 19.
