I am not aware of PM directive to Razi: Gogoi

Amidst the report of a simmering tension at the Raj Bhawan following
reports of PM's directive to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi to quit, Assam
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said he was not aware of any development in
this regard.


Talking to reporters in Delhi on Tuesday after his meeting with UPA
chief Sonia Gandhi, Gogoi said there as no complaint againt Razi in
Assam and that h did not opposed when he Razi was posted in Assam.
Gogoi called on Sonia Gandhi and apprised her of the state's overall situation.
In yet another development,the prime minister's office has denied any
report of PM's instruction for Razi to quit the office immediatley.
Senior Congress leaders in Delhi also dismissed the media report.

The Centre will soon rush additional security forces to contain the law and order situation in BTAD where 8 people were killed in four attacks by NDFB-S. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi told assamtimes in New Delhi that he talked to prime minister to apprise him of the situation. He further said that the protests against NDFB-S should not be allowed to turn violent where the common people will have to bear the brunt.

The first ever negotiations between NDFB and Centre seems to have fallen flat as the Bodo rebels are likely to reject the suggestions for complete surrender in the line of the DhD(J). According to information, the Union home ministry officers suggested the rebels to completely surrender to carry forward the peace process which they have not reportedly not agreed.
