Devastating fire at Guwahati refinery; no casualty

Properties worth crores of rupee were reduced to ashes as a devastating fire broke out at the Guwahati refinery in Noonmati on Sunday. The incident took pace at around 2-40 in the afternoon at an OICL owned sulfer recovery unit and the fire was rapidly spreading to create panic among the workers who came out of their work places. The reason of the fire has yet to be ascertained and the authorities have yet to ascertain the extent of damage. Fire tenders were called to take the situation under control. However, there is no report of any loss of life and casualty in the incident. Investigation is on.
