SA Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Little Champs, the largest talent hunt cum reality show for children is back in a new Avtar on Zee TV and is marching towards its peak in TRP. The program is aired every Friday and Saturday from 9:30 PM.


Out of over 60,000 contestants all over the country, 6 girls and 6 boys have been selected for the final rounds of this competition.



Antara Nandy is one of the final 6 girl finalist in this show and is representing Assam. Antara is 10 years of age and her home town is Guwahati (Noonmati). She was born at the Pragati Hospital, Sivasagar district of Assam. She started her education at “Budding Buds School” at Tinsukia district of Assam and stayed at Bordoloi Nagar.


Antara’s vocal quality and versatility has attracted all the great judges of the show like Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Kailash Kher, Dipika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Kavita Krishnamurty, Udit Narayan .


Antara has now qualified amongst the top 3 girls which is again a excellent achievement and now onwards it will be decided by public votes (SMS).


Antara’s potential for vocals was spotted at a very early age of 4 years by her school and immediately she started her training on vocals. At the age of 5 years she started her training under the guidance of Padmashree Ustaad Rashid Khan for advance levels


Antara is a student of Delhi Public School and is a bright student. DPS-Ruby Park has encouraged Antara throughout her journey. She also is a student of SIP – ABACUS.


Antara was launched as the youngest classical vocalist at the Prestigious Durbar Hall, Kolkata at the age of 8 years. Antara is also trained in classical’s under the guidance of renowned guru’s like Jayanta Sarkar and Samiran Jana and she obtained tips on modern songs from Simanta Sarkar (Jojo).


She has performed in various shows and is a sought after child artist amongst various section of music connoisseurs in the eastern part of the country. Her biggest shows were at Netaji Indoor stadium, Kolkata in 2008 and in Patna Stadium in 2009.


Antara decided to try her luck in the talent hunt organized by Star TV as well as ZEE TV this year and she got selected for both the programs, finally Antara opted to be go for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2009


Little Antara has already shown that she is not only a good singer but also has a good heart thru her act of friendship with the Marathi girl Ananya who did not have any friendz due to a critical skin problem (shedding of skin like a snake every day). This was also shown on the TV and was also a news in many leading national dailies. Antara’s parents also promised to support Ananya in her struggle.

I hope parents make their children realize that music is for the soul and not for competition. These glitzy 'talent hunt' are as fierce as the word 'hunt'. Children think music is meant for competition and competition only. Sad but True...

Hira Sarania under mental pressure: Army

The Army on Thursday claimed that Hira Sarania, the hardcore leader with the ULFA’s crack unit 709 is under mental pressure. Now he cannot repose faith even on his bodyguards. This has made him bound to change them frequently. 7 ULFA cadres surrender, major surrender next month

In a major setback for the ULFA. Seven ULFA hardcore activists of the dreaded 9th Battalion have surrendered in two places in lower Assam on Thursday even as a major surrender has yet to come. Four hardcore ULFA militants surrendered before the Army’s Red Horn Division at a function organized at Kalapur based 6th Rajput Battalion office. They are Major Anil Kumar Boro, Tuluk Gogoi, Ajit Brahma and Padum Hazarika . They have further handed over some arms and ammunitions before the army. Road blockade in Naduwa on Rahmoria issue

Several people have been injured while police shelled tear gas to disperse the protesters who blocked the National Highways 37 at Naduwa in Upper Assam's Dibrugarh district on Thursday. The protesters demand steps to check erosion that poses a serious threat to Rahmoria area of Dibrugarh district. The blockade, which began in the morning disrupted the traffic movement and the district administration rushed police and paramilitary forces to the spot. They shelled tear gases to disperse the protesters.

Gogoi to figure Adivasi agitation in secuirty meeting

NEW DELHI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is attending a meeting of Chief Ministers on Thursday to discuss the state's security scenario. Gogoi urges Centre to change in funding pattern

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has urged the Centre to change the pattern of fundings in the Central-government scheme saying that the decrease in the borrowings from small savings could force Assam to rush to bigger market borrowings.Addressing the 54th National Development Council (NDC) on Wednesday in the capital, the Chief Minister stressed fulfilment of the pending demands. AATASU identifys three Badans

The All Assam Tai Ahome Students Union has called for social boycott of those people who attended the meeting with P R Kyindiah on Tuesday in New Delhi.Talking to a private TV channel on Wednesday, AATASU president Pradip Konwar said the two Ahom person were from the Tai Ahom Council which has no relation with the protest for ST status.Calling them Badans of Assam, the students union has further warned the government and the Congress to refrain from trying to disrupt the age old communal of harmony in the state saying it have a serious consequences. AGP again alleges code violation by Congress

The Opposition Asom Gana Parishad will approach the Election Commission alleging violation of model code by the ruling party in the panchayat election.Addressing a press conference in the city on Wednesday party president Brindabon Giswami said they the ruling party leaders and workers are using the government machinery in the electioneering.
