Several people have been injured while police shelled tear gas to disperse the protesters who blocked the National Highways 37 at Naduwa in Upper Assam's Dibrugarh district on Thursday. The protesters demand steps to check erosion that poses a serious threat to Rahmoria area of Dibrugarh district. The blockade, which began in the morning disrupted the traffic movement and the district administration rushed police and paramilitary forces to the spot. They shelled tear gases to disperse the protesters.
