Yet another HPC employee died

Silchar: Yet another HPC employee died of ailments, sending shock and anger among employees who lost their jobs 4 years back when the government undertaking refused to function. 

Identified as Bazlul Hakim Laskar,  the 63 year old in Silchar has been ailing for the last couple of months and could not afford to continue treatment because of non receipt of salaries. 

This has triggered anger among his colleagues who have been leading deplorable lives for the last 4 years. 

Despite repeated assurances, BJP-led governments have been failing to mitigate their miseries. 

Laskar is the 101 employee of the PSU to have died a difficult death since the closure of the paper mills based in Nagaon and Jagiroad.

Two individuals from Ukraine were apprehended by the Railway Protection Force in Badarpur on April 21. They had travelled from Agartala via the Tripura Sundari Express towards New Delhi. Because these men couldn't produce a passport or visa during routine checks, they were arrested by the RPF at Badarpur Junction. They have been identifying themselves  as Khrystinoski Vlodimir (31) and Nazari Vozniuk (21) from Ukraine. The GRP has contacted the Ukrainian Embassy in India to find their names on the record. Cachar: The region was shocked by a gruesome murder in Shibpur Part II of Lakhipur in Cachar district. A 19-year-old-woman was discovered dead in a paddy field. Her throat had been cut, and her parents had reported her missing the night before. Her father claimed the murder was planned by a man from Rangirghat who had intended to marry his older daughter.
