19-Year-Old found dead in Cachar

Cachar: The region was shocked by a gruesome murder in Shibpur Part II of Lakhipur in Cachar district.

A 19-year-old-woman was discovered dead in a paddy field.

Her throat had been cut, and her parents had reported her missing the night before.

Her father claimed the murder was planned by a man from Rangirghat who had intended to marry his older daughter.

The 19-year-old was, however, eight months pregnant, according to preliminary investigation.

The parents have been held by police, and an investigation has begun. 

As per police, the parents are concealing facts and attempting to deceive the investigators.

As per sources close to the situation, police  suspect parents of murdering their daughter.

Two Ukrainian nationals arrested in Assam

Two individuals from Ukraine were apprehended by the Railway Protection Force in Badarpur on April 21. They had travelled from Agartala via the Tripura Sundari Express towards New Delhi. Because these men couldn't produce a passport or visa during routine checks, they were arrested by the RPF at Badarpur Junction. They have been identifying themselves  as Khrystinoski Vlodimir (31) and Nazari Vozniuk (21) from Ukraine. The GRP has contacted the Ukrainian Embassy in India to find their names on the record. Yet another HPC employee died
