Barpeta: Former headmaster of Juro Ram Pathak Girls' High School Himangshu Pathak breathed his last on Saturday morning at his residence at Gandhinagar, Barpeta. He was 87.
He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters, grandchildren, and a host of his relatives, well-wishers.
People of Barpeta mourned for the demise of their beloved 'English Sir'.

Senior Assam Public Service Commission member Ranjit Barthakur will head the autonomous body after Chairman Rakesh Paul was sent to jail for his alleged involvement in the cash for selection scam. Barthakur, the senior member of the commission has been promoted after the authorities gave the required consent. Barthakur’s tenure is set to end after six months.
