Bodoland Taekwondo Championship celebrates Silver Jubilee
KOKRAJHAR: The Silver Jubilee celebration and 25th All Bodoland Taekwondo Championship-2019 has begun from Monday with three-days-colourful-programme scheduled at Sicknajhar Taekwondo Gymnasium, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar district.
Nearly 600 participants are so far registered for the event from several districts of the state.
Grand master Chang Seong Dong from South Korea and grand master Mar Tshering Lepcha of Kalimpong West Bengal,founder and chief technical director of All Bodoland Taekwondo Association are attending as guests in the event.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary will grace as chief guest on the concluding day of the championship on January 8.
On Tuesday,president of the All Bodoland Taekwondo Association and Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary will hoist flag besides inauguration of the championship Mascot in the second day of the event.
The Taekwondo championship event is getting attractive as large number of participation are participating the event to showcaae their talents in various categories of competition.

KOKRAJHAR: Tarang Swrang Club, Taranguri defeated Kokrajhar Veteran Sports Club (KVSC) 2-0 in the final match of 7th edition Jatin Islary memorial running shield football tournament-2019 held on Sunday at Kokrajhar. KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland University has been accorded with 12B status by university grants commission (UGC) on Friday.
The Bodoland University was established through the spirits of BTC accord signed in 2003.

KOKRAJHAR: The All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) has demanded proper implementation of the 6th Clause of the historic Assam Accord with letter and spirit.
ABMSU also demands clarification of the terms 'indigenous' (Khilongia) which has been marked in the Assam Accord.
Speaking to the media at Kokrajhar Press Club on Thursday, ABMSUB president Abu Sayed Anchari and secretary Nazrul Islam said that the people of the state wants properly implementation of the 6th Clause of the Assam Accord which was regarded as a 'raksha kabash' in the state.
However, the students union proposes clarification over the terms which stated 'indigenous' .
