AHSEC results satisfactory for Hojai College

The Students of Hojai College performed well in HS 2nd year examination. The results of which were announced by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council on Saturday.

173 students appeared from Arts stream out of which 163 cleared  securing  first division 17,  second division 36 and  third  division 116. Pass Percentage is 94.27%.

73 students appeared from Science stream out of which 63 cleared securing  first division 31, second division 29 and  third division 3. Pass Percentage is 86.30%.

180 students appeared from commerce stream out of which 164 cleared securing  first division 55,  second division 46 and  third division 63. Pass Percentage is 91.11%.

In Abdul Hasib High School , 26 students appeared from Science stream out of which  15 cleared  securing first division 1, second division  7 and third division  6. Pass Percentage is 57.69%. From Arts stream 50 students appeared out of which   23 cleared  securing first division  1, second division 4  and third division 18. Pass Percentage is 46%.

In Rabindra Vidylaya, 55 students appeared from Arts  stream out of which 37 cleared  securing first Division 2, second Division 9  and third division 26. Pass Percentage is  67.2%.

In Deshbandhu Vidya Pith  98  students appeared from  Science  stream out of which    74 cleared securing first division 32, second division 41 and third division  1.Pass Percentage is 75.51%.

On the otherhand, Susmita Debnath, Student of Sankardev Junior College has scored 96 marks in Bengali which is highest in Assam.

119 students appeared through Commerce stream by this college out of which 116 cleared securing  first Division 43, second Division 46  and third Division 27. Pass Percentage is 97.47%.

62 students appeared through Arts stream out of which   53 cleared securing   first Division 15, second Division  20  and third Division 18. Pass Percentage is 85.48%.

28 students apperead through Science stream out of which 26 cleared  securing first division 10, second division 12  and third division 4. Pass Percentage is 92.85%.

Hojai: Two wild elephants died due to lightning strike in the Lankajan Dorjeesheet area under Hojai district along the Hojai-Karbi Anglong border on Sunday night. According to information, the two tuskers came down from the forest in Karbi Anglong district in search of food and were moving in the Lankajan Dorjeesheet area but died at wee hours due to lightning.While one of the elephants is a mature male elephant, the other is a male elephant calf, aged 10 to 12 years. Hojai:- Properties worth more than  10 lakh were reduced to ashes when a devastating fire engulfed 13 houses at Pachali in Hojai. As Per information, the incident took place  at around 10:55 am on Monday. It is suspected that due to short circuit this massive fire broke out. Hojai:- People of Shabajpur area in Murajhar under Hojai District are living in panic these days due to havoc created by monkeys in the area.Since last 4-5 days several monkeys have created sensation in the area.As Per some local resident's," Due to monkeys menace they are not able to sleep, every time fear of monkeys remains because they invade their homes in search of food in night hours.They even cannot get out of their house because of attacks of monkeys as such children's of the area are unable to go the school.
