A free general health check-up camp titled "Free Medico Educative Cum Treatment Camp"was organized at Don Bosco High School in Hojai on Friday.
The camp was organized in collaboration with HAAM Hospital, Hojai for the entire school staff, students and their parents.
A ten member team consisting of a five doctor and five nurse which included Dr. Esther, Dr. Kalpana, Dr.Kaushik, Dr. Tina and Dr.Farnaz. The team screened the general ailments and prescribed medicines for the same.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal of the School Father Michael Bistis in the presence of the Team from HAAM Hospital, School Staff and Students at 9 am in the morning.
On this Occasion Dr. Saidul Alom, Public Health officer at Kapashbari and former student of this school motivated the students as well as shared many tips to keep mind and body healthy.
Talking to this Correspondent , Father Michael Bistis, Principal, Don Bosco High School, Hojai said, “This year the theme of World Health the day was 'Health For All', like every year we decided to do something healthy and helpful to commemorate World Health Day which is held on April 7 every year in a befitting manner, so that society can avail the benefits, because healthy life is a blessing of God.To keep the body healthy is our responsibility.”
He further said, "Now-a-days due work pressure people have no time for their health as this is an small initiative to aware the society about importance of Health."
"We also conducted a Painting competition on the theme Health is Wealth to create awareness among the students to stay healthy." he added. The camp concluded at 2:00 pm.
Hundred’s of school students along with their parents participated in the camp.
