Sonapur : One person has been killed and many injured when one bus and one truck collided at 8 pm on Tuesday at Sonapur near Guwahati in NH 37.
The person who has been killed has been identified as Dhal Chetri, Age 35 years. Many of the injured are in critical conditions and have been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
The critically injured people are Arun Vaidya of Sapekhati, Prakash Choudhury ( location unknown) . Sajad Ahmed of Bokakhat, Pranjit Dutta of Birubari in Guwahati, Daulat Singh and Mrs Pabitri Singh of Nepal.

More than 25 persons, including seven children, injured as the mini-bus they were travelling overturned at Bijoynagar Kamrup district on Wednesday morning .According to information, the vehicle travelling from Chaygaon to Guwahati turned turtle at about 10 am when the driver lost control on NH-37. Two persons died and twelve others have been injured when a Tata Safari collided its head on an ASTC bus last night at Alomganj area in Karimganj district of south Assam. According to information, the accident took place at around 1-40 late last night when the Tata safari bound for Narengi from Tamarhat carrying some brick kiln workers had a head-on collision with a speeding ASTC bus bearing No AS-20/0779. Two persons did on the spot while the 12 injured persons have been shifted to the Dhubri Hospital. The reasons are not immediately known.
