Phone call strikes panic in Charaideo
NAMRUP: A sudden phone call a self-styled ULFA(I) rebel to a local journalist struck no less panic in a village in Charaideo district forcing the security forces to step in on Sunday.
The caller from 7085896404 who identified himself as an ULFA(I) rebel claimed to have planted three powerful bombs in Pehipukhuri based high voltage power lines which have not exploded.
The phone caller asked the journalist to inform it to police to defuse to avoid the civilian casualty. As the news spread like wildfire security forces rushed to the spot with army bomb squad.
The phone call assumed significance a day after www.assamtimes.org broke the story that ULFA(I) is in the possession of sophisticated weapons to unleash terror.
