NIA to nab top Naga political leader
DIMAPUR: The National Investigation Agency, probing the terror funding cases is preparing to arrest senior political leader in Nagaland a day after it held three government officers whom they are producing before the court on Monday.
NIA sources told Assam Times that the investigation agency has gathered enough evidence to arrest the political leader who along with the arrested trio have been funding the NSCN-K since 2016.
Two months after they interrogated the trio, NIA on Sunday arrested agriculture director G Ikuto Zhimomi, executive engineer with rural development department Sh Ketouzo Pesseyie and urban development accounts officer Songthembhu.
All they were picked from Dimapur to be brought to Guwahati where the investigators have been grilling them. They are being produced before special court on Monday seeking them in their demand.
