Burning protest in gangrape-hit Nagaon

NAGAON:The All Assam Students Union has joined the escalating protest in Nagaon a day after the shocking incident in Batadrawa where three miscreants gangraped a minor girl before being burnt her alive.

Nagaon AASU leaders and workers thronged  the incident site and dharna demanding immediate arrest of the main culprit Zakir Hussain for capital punishment.

Talking to www.assamties.org, the protestors said they won’t relent until and unless the miscreants are not taken to the gallows. Some other further blocked the Nagaon-Dhing road for a couple of hours raising the demand.

On the other hand, local residents in large number this morning vandalized the house where Zakir, his wife and children lived in forcing the security men to step in.

The policemen investigating the incident said at any moment Zakir would be captured who is said to be the main culprit t lead the gang where the two arrested hours after the incident were minor.
