Police officer crushed to death

Shock and sensation prevail in Hojai when an unidentified speedy car crushed to death a police officer on Saturday night. According to information the incident took place at night in Nilbagan area on NH No 54 when the speeding car knocked down Ajit Gogoi WT-OPR( Police Personnel) as he was returning to home from duty.

 

He was immediately taken to the hospital. But the doctors declared him brought dead. Hailing from Sivasagar, Gogoi was known for his honesty and sincerity who has been working in Nilbagan for the last 15 years. 
SP Devojyoti Mukherjee, and many organizations and individuals have deeply condoled Gogoi’s death.

Hojai: Two wild elephants died due to lightning strike in the Lankajan Dorjeesheet area under Hojai district along the Hojai-Karbi Anglong border on Sunday night. Hojai:- Properties worth more than  10 lakh were reduced to ashes when a devastating fire engulfed 13 houses at Pachali in Hojai.
