Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang has greeted the Lotha Community on the occasion of Tokhu Emong, the post-harvest festival which is celebrated with much pomp and splendor every year.
In a message on Monday, Zeliang said the Lotha Community is one of the major and pre-dominant Naga tribe renowned for their colourful dances and folk songs and as the Community celebrates this premium Festival.
“I wish the Community peace, success and a bright future.
Tokhu Emong is a festival of thanks-giving, sharing and reconciliation during which new ties are made and bonds of closer intimacy are formed and as we celebrate this festival with songs, dances, feast, fun and merry-making, let us continue to preserve and protect our rich heritage and traditions,” he said.
