Husband kills wife, commits suicide
Yet another case of double murder strikes no less anger and sensation in BTAD areas on where a couple was found killed inside their house on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Salbari village in Bongaigaon where the bodies were recovered inside their house.
Identified as Ganesh Barman and his wife Pampi Barman, they were found dead with marks of injury.
Local residents told Assam Times that Ganesh was believed to gave killed his wife before he committed suicide.
Police and local residents broke the doors and recovered the bodies.

KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019.
Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. The protestors staged protest demonstration with shouting slogans demanding early withdrawal of the bill.
The protestors violated CrPC 144 clamp in the district", said a senior police officer.

KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.
The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials.
There are 142 inmates including 14 minors are kept in the Kokrajhar detention center.
There are six detention centers across the state.
