Social activist demand through probe

Noted social activists from New Delhi Harsh Mander and John Doyal demanded impartial inquiry into murder case of Lafikul Islam Ahmed; assassinated ABMSU president. They rushed at Salakati residence to meet family members of the Lafikul in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday.

Rights activists have urged the government as well investigating agencies to make strong inquiry while identifying the involved culprits.
  Both activists expressed serious concern over killing of student leader. They demanded early start of CBI investigation to arrest involved culprits through proper inquiry.

  They urged the government as well investigating agencies to come with strong inquiry into Lafikul murder. They also met ABMSU and AAMSU leaders at Salakati and shared views into the situation.

Mander after visiting the Salakati said that killing of Lafikul was unfortunate,who had spoke for the minority a well down trodden communities. He has opined that murder of a student leader should be given justice through thorough investigation.

‘Although 35 days passed after assassination of Lafikul, yet main involved culprits to be identified. By the either CBI or any other agencies, there is needed independent inquiry into murder case’, Mander said.

Doyal expressed displeasure over snail pace of investigation said that though the killing passed over one month.The incident should be brought into nabbed through strong investigation. He has urged the government early start of impartial inquiry and nab of culprits.

 

All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) and All Assam Minority Students Union (AAMSU) slammed the government for not taking stern check into Lafikul killing demanded resignation of CM, who is also holding Home department.
