Meritorious students feted
The Tangla Thana Nagarik Samity organised a felicitation programme for two HS rank holders of National Pioneer Jr. College of Tangla at Tangla VDP office in premises of Tangla Police Station on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Ashim Roy Vice-President Tangla Thana Nagarik Samity. Gaurav Patowary HS 4th rank holder and Dipankar Saha HS 10th rank holder in HS Commerce examination 2017 were feted with phulam gamosa,japi,citation and a packet of books each on the ocassion.Earlier the purpose of the meet was conveyed by Dhirendra Kalita OC Tangla.
Heads of educational institutions,senior citizens,retired college and school principals were also feted on the ocassion. Speaking on the ocassion Nilamoni Bora former Principal of Tangla HS called on the youth for imbibing moral,spiritual education. He lamented the guardians whose wards study in government run schools observing that those guardians seems to be least conscious in maintaining links with teachers and attending in guardians meet. He also called on educational institutions for teaching road manners to students. He also lamented hooliganism in sort of moral policing in cases of road accidents and eve-teasing.He called on young generation to refrain from the clutches of drugs andalcohol.The programme was also attended by Gayatri Sonowal ,SDPO Bhergaon ,JatinKr. Deka AGP district President ,Likhan Das Secretary Tangla Thana Nagarik Samity ,VDP members under Tangla PS among many eminent persons of the locality.
