Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha conferred

 The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) conferred the Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha-2017 among top 10 ranks holder and topper students in HSLC final examination in Bodo medium across the state at a programme held at Barama in Baksa district on Wednesday..

 

Bibungsar Basumatary of UN Academy, Barpeta Road, stood in 10th position top 10 ranks in the recent declared HSLC examination results. Bibungsar was the first ranks holder in HSLC examination in Bodo medium background,who has been dedicative in his career of studies since school times. He has been noticed brilliant in the central talent search examination conducted by ABSU in 2015 & 2016 in which he scored highest marks and stood first during class IX and X respectively.

Bibungsar Basumatary, was conferred special cash Rs. 50,000 award from ABSU for his achievement of 10th position in top 10 ranks along with citation, traditional Aronai and gifts. Ten more topper students in Bodo medium were given away the Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha. Each of topper student was given away cash Rs.5, 000, citation, Aronai and gifts on the occasion.

Dr. Nirup Kumar Misra,Director, Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, Assam graced as chief guest on the occasion and handed over the awards among toppers. TarenBoro, President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Dr. Nirala Ramchiary, Assistant Prof. JNU, Delhi, Ranjan Barua, Director Northeast Youth Foundation, Krishna Gopal Basumatary, Director UN Academy Kokrajhar were prominent attendees on the occasion.

 The Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Banta is conferred every year to the top ten HSLC passing students from the Bodo medium school across Assam since 2006 by ABSU. The selection of top ten is done every year by ABSU and by conferring this award our vision is to encourage the younger generations to be aware of the ‘Quality Education’ in the state, which was started in 2006.

‘The mission quality education is accumulated with diverse activities of school level motivation, career counseling, coaching camps etc. Teachers’ and Parents’ meetings at all level spreading awareness on quality education with the mother tongue language. Conducting central talent search exam every year by ABSU has given the opportunity to quality test from amongst the Bodo medium students’, the ABSU said.
