Fire devastates houses in Rupahihat
At least four residential structures belonging to Abdul Manan, a resident of 1 no. Fakoli, Rupahihat in the Nagaon district were gutted down in massive fire that erupted in on Tuesday noon. Short circuit, as per the locals, is believed to be the cause of fire that left the property of around Rs 5 lakhs completely damaged. Luckily, no loss of life has been reported so far. Locals of 1 No. Fakoli village accused Fire Tenders of Nagaon for reaching late to the spot. Had fire tenders reached on time much could have saved” locals said.Residents also alleged that they have long been demanding for setting up a fire station in Rupahihat, yet the concerned authority have not paid any attention in this regard.
