Agri officer dies

Shikha Bora, Agricultural Development Officer, posted at Soil Survey Office, Department of Agriculture,Assam; Ulubari , Guwahati died Sunday night at her official quarter , Ulubari, Guwahati, due to illness . She was around  40.

She was a very sincere officer of the Agriculture Department. She is popular because of her politeness and simplicity . Her death was widely mourned in the Agriculture Department , Assam. 

She leaves behind her husband,relatives and colleagues.

Nearly 400 village women on 11.9.2010 took part in the community prayers within the campus of the Bandiya LP School , Bandiya village, a few kilometres from Mangaldai town of Assam, have set a rare example of community prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
